Instructors

Jillian Wolgast

Jillian is a lifelong equestrian and mechanic. Her background includes driving trucks, and she currently works as a power plant engineer. She has been working on cars since she was three years old, when her dad first held her over the engine bay of his VW and let her thread in a bolt. Since then, she's developed a passion for both horses and horsepower, and spends her free time riding her mules and maintaining her fleet of vehicles. Jillian understands that one of the most difficult things about horse ownership can be the logistics of hauling, and is passionate about helping other women haul their horses independently and safely.

Sagebrush Sam

Samantha Szesciorka is the founder of Nevada Horse Trails and the long distance rider behind the Nevada Discovery Ride. To ride thousands of miles, she has hauled thousands of miles! Samantha didn't grow up with any guidance on hauling a horse trailer, but she's learned along the way with rough roads, flat tires, ripped wiring, and lots of swearing.
